Premium 316Ti Stainless Steel Bar for Demanding Applications

TISCO Steel Group (Jiangsu) Co., Limited is your trusted partner for high-performance stainless steel. As a leading supplier, we are proud to distribute premium-grade materials from renowned mills such as TISCO, Tsingshan, BAOSTEEL, and ANSTEEL. This direct access ensures that our clients receive products with guaranteed traceability, consistent quality, and competitive pricing, backed by full Mill Test Certification (MTC) compliant with international standards.

Our 316Ti Stainless Steel Bar is a titanium-stabilized, molybdenum-alloyed austenitic stainless steel engineered for demanding corrosive and elevated-temperature environments. Its molybdenum content improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly in chloride-containing conditions, while the addition of titanium helps stabilize the material against chromium carbide precipitation and improves resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding or prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. This combination makes 316Ti well suited for chemical processing equipment, heat-exposed components, valves, flanges, marine-related applications, and other demanding industrial environments.

Compared with standard 304 stainless steel, 316Ti generally offers superior resistance to chloride-containing and chemically aggressive environments due to its molybdenum content, while titanium stabilization provides an additional advantage for welded or elevated-temperature service. Although the higher alloy content may result in a higher material cost, the improved corrosion resistance and service stability can provide better long-term value in demanding applications.

We offer a wide range of diameters and lengths, along with various surface finishes to meet your specific machining or fabrication needs. Our technical team is ready to provide expert guidance to ensure you select the right material for your project.

FAQ

  • What is the main difference between 304 and 316Ti stainless steel bars?
316Ti contains molybdenum for improved resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared with 304, while titanium stabilization helps reduce susceptibility to intergranular corrosion after welding or prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. This makes 316Ti particularly suitable for more corrosive and heat-exposed applications.
  • Do you provide Material Test Certificates (MTC)?
Yes, every shipment is accompanied by a full MTC that verifies the chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat number, and compliance with the stated material standards.
  • What is the lead time for orders?
For standard sizes and grades, we can typically ship within 10-15 days. Custom sizes or large-volume orders may require additional time, which will be confirmed according to the required dimensions, quantity, and processing requirements.
  • What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard MOQ is 1 ton, but smaller quantities may be available for evaluation or sample purposes. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
  • Can you supply custom sizes and lengths?
Yes. We can supply 316Ti stainless steel bars in custom diameters and lengths, with processing options such as cut-to-length, peeled, turned, ground, and polished finishes according to your drawings or specifications.
  • Is 316Ti stainless steel magnetic?
316Ti is an austenitic stainless steel and is generally non-magnetic in the solution-annealed condition. Slight magnetism may develop after significant cold working or machining because localized transformation can occur in austenitic stainless steels. 316Ti itself should not be described simply as “316” in this answer.
  • What are the maximum working temperatures for 316Ti bars?
316Ti is specifically designed for elevated-temperature service. According to Alleima’s 316Ti bar data, the material can be used in air up to approximately 850°C (1560°F), while actual allowable service temperature depends on atmosphere, mechanical loading, creep requirements, and applicable design codes.
  • How does 316L differ from 316Ti?
316L uses a low-carbon composition to reduce the risk of chromium carbide precipitation during welding, while 316Ti uses titanium stabilization to bind carbon and improve resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly during welding or prolonged elevated-temperature exposure. 316Ti is commonly selected where higher-temperature performance is important, whereas 316L is widely used for general welded corrosion-resistant applications.
  • What surface finishes are available?
We supply 316Ti stainless steel bars in hot-rolled black, cold-drawn, peeled, turned, ground, and polished finishes, subject to diameter and production availability.
  • What packaging do you use to prevent rust during shipping?
We use protective export packaging such as waterproof wrapping, corrosion-resistant protective materials, reinforced bundles, and wooden cases or crates where required to protect the bars during international transportation.
